Humans and Animals. Evolved?

You know, I think it's funny. People say that humans are much more evolved than animals. I agree with that for the most part but at the same time we are not much more evolved than them. If you walk around a campus (junior high or high school...elementary is too wanna-be) you'll see that we are still in packs! We have our classic groups/packs. Kids are 'hanging out' with a group of people and that can be considered packs like packs of wolfs or other. Even though we have our classic 'loner,' those loners find a way to hang out with other loners. Same with the emo's who hang out with other emo's and supposedly emo's are the ones who hate life and don't wanna feel, etc. Another example is how kids (mostly girls) find a way to gossip about another person and that is considered 'attacking a person.' If you watch the freaking animal planet, you'll see how animals are always mauling one another. Also how they get in fights after one person says something so tiny that no one besides them care and they'll end up mauling the person who said that. So people and animals really aren't much different character wise. I think I made my point.
P.S. don't comment on this and say something that'll make you look like a fool. Ex: Humans don't have fur!' I am talking about character.

Midnight Football

I'm pretty sure most people don't really know what midnight football is as I didn't when I first heard of it. It's a very fun and physical game. Basically it is like playing football without any light except for where the goal is so you can't see anything at all. But you are on your knees and you don't really tackle and score; the only thing you need to do is get the ball to your teams goal. The most fun part of the game is when everyone knows exactly where the ball is so everyone is pushing and tackling and trying to get the ball. Especially when you have the perfect grip and everybody is just piled on you in a dog pile trying to rip the ball from your grasp. It happened to me and I was completely drained of energy when someone finally snatched the ball. And would anyone know a reason why I can't get this post to be green from my computer?

badminton

Like my earlier post about cricket today i will me talking about badminton. Badminton is know internationally in most countries. As you can see in the latest world rankings most of the top players are from Asia. In the U.S badminton is not as famous of a sport as basketball, football, or baseball. Like I said in my last post about cricket if people start watching it, and going to badminton events it might grow on the United States.

Potato Chips

Have you ever eaten potato chips before you bought them? It seems to be the exact same as buying them before you eat them. Your still going to buy the chips, and at 7-Eleven they can see you walk out the door. It shouldn't be known as stealing because you might just have the munchies and you want some food fast.

Pon and Zi

So this picture I am showing (to the left), are these thing called Pon and Zi. They have all different styles like: emo, love, misc. As I know, most of you reading this post are probably wondering what gender they are, but it is mostly 'saying' "it doesn't matter what gender they are. It is supposed to symbolize that love doesn't recognize gender." Go onto Google and search them. They have so many cute sayings (like the picture) and they are just so cute. <3 :))

music

Music is a universal way of expressing one's self. I'd like to know some of your favorite bands,groups,singers,rappers, etc. My favorite bands are The Beatles, My chemical romance, Journey, Queen, Bon Jovie and more than i can list right now. please leave a comment about your favorite genre and, if you want, a quote from your favorite song. I guess that's all, but I am VERY interested in your comments.

Nicholas Sparks

Obviously by my title I will be talking about one of the most famous authors, Nicholas Sparks. I have only read about 6 or 7 of his books and out of those, there is only one book that I will never recommend to any body and that is 'Dear John.' The books I have read and absolutely will recommend is: The Last Song, The Notebook, The Choice, The Rescue, Safe Heaven, A Bend in the Road, and I am now reading The Lucky One. Yes, some content in his books are inappropriate, but all in all he is a good author. Now some people may call him "corny," "cliched," etc. (He-hem Mr. Vega!) but if you really do buckle down and read a book, you will love the book.

Government

I think that Nancy Farmer is trying to say that the form of government in The House Of The Scorpion is a monarchy form. El Patron has complete power over everyone in Opium. Not a single person is ahead of him in the business pyramid. Everything in Opium is his as soon as it is in the area. On Wikipedia, it says that "A monarchy is a form of government
In the story House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer she mentions the story about a 5-legged horse. I think when Nancy Farmer is talking about the five legged horse she is referring to communism.
In the book House of the Scorpion, Nancy Farmer had written about a five legged horse. I'm here to tell you about what type of government I think that she was referring to. I honestly think that the government Nancy is referring to is anarchy. She is referring to this type of government , I know this because of the way Nancy describes the surroundings. The people in House of the Scorpion are able to address their opinion.

Types Of Government

Mr. Vega:(to the class)Track me; track me. Now, what type of government was Nancy Farmer referring to in "House Of The Scorpions?"
In "House of the Scorpions," by Nancy Farmer, there is a statement about a 'five legged horse' (get the the book and read it and you shall know what statement I am talking about) and we have to give our opinion on what type of government she was referring to and I would have to say anarchy because if we just cut off that 'five legged horse's' fifth leg, we have no say in it. Anarchy is just no enforced authority or no ruler-ship. As I said no authority in cutting off it's leg is like no enforced authority.

"The House of the Scorpion" Five legged horse

In Nancy Farmer's novel The House of the Scorpion, she describes a "five legged horse". When she mentions this "five legged horse" she is saying that as one being everything must work together to get things done quickly and without hassle.And if it doesn't then nothing will get done. I think that she uses the five legged horse to describe the type of government known as communism. Communism is when everyone works together to get things accomplished and are all treated equally. Raul(one of the keepers) gives an example on communism, using a paddle boat. He starts to ask the children "What would happen... if ypu wanted to go one way and the other half another?" one of the kids responds as saying that they would" go in circles" this, I think is a really good example of communism.

House of the Scorpion Government Reference

In "House of the Scorpion" by Nancy Farmer, she mentions a a five-legged horse story. This story seems to refer to a certain type of government. The government she that I believe she is refering to is Communism. Raul says much about what and why they make them do certain work. They usually make the kids think that it's "hard but it's fair,"(Farmer 265). She seems to be criticizing this form of government. All of the kids do work and work the same and are rewarded with their share of food because they did their job. If someone didn't do their fair share then they are deprived of food.
Matt happens to comment on how Raul talks about everyone having to do what everyone else does. Farmer used Matt to show that they basically wanted everyone to have something chosen for them and they don't get to do or choose what they want. Communism is basically the same. Everyone does the same thing so that it is supposed to be fair. Farmer is saying that it's not. All they want to do is have everyone do something and not other things like hobbies. Farmer uses Matt to explain that it is just like turning them into zombies or putting chips in their brains to keep them from disobeying.

The Five Legged Horse

The type government that I think that Nancy Farmer is using The House of the Scorpions is communism. She especially uses in the chapter, the five legged horse when Raul says " we must all row together to reach the shore" ( Farmer 273). This explains communism because they have to come together as one to get to shore, like in communism today everyone has to be on the same page so that they can have a communist government.

Improved Rocky Horror Picture Show Post

The Rocky horror picture show. Okay. So as you can see in my title, I will be talking about the movie made in 1975, "Rocky Horror Picture Show." This movie is really weird and really fun to watch. I would not recommend it for a family movie, but I would recommend it for people who would love to laugh and people who are...mature. It is about a guy named, Brad Majors and a woman, Janet Weiss who have planned to elope. When they are driving, they get a flat tire and they walk up the street when they come upon a castle. Well at least that's what they thought. Once they are inside, they meet Riff Raff, a house keeper. Then they meet, Magenta, a maid. Soon enough they break out in song to my favorite, The Time Warp. Then they meet Dr. Frank-n-Furter, my favorite. He is planning to make a man, named Rocky Horror. Pretty much they wind up in his plan to go back to their planet, Tran-sexual Transylvania. The rest is for you to find out. My friend Emily said at Target, it is only $5.

who is to blame?

i think that thestudents are to blame for low test scores. i think this because many students are very apathetic about school work and it doesn'tmatter how well a teacher teaches, what matters is that the students just doesn't care.

Who's To Blame?

I think that it is only the lazy student's fault because they don't want to contribute with the program. They don't realize that what they want to do in life is at stake if they continue to do like this. Their grades drop swiftly and the other schools look at us as a lower-class school.

An Interview With My 2-year-old Nephew Wyatt!

So on Saturday, I was dropped off at my grandma's because my brother and his friends were going to "scream-o" concert and my mom was driving them so I would be at home until 2a.m; anyways, I decided to do a fun interview with none other than my 2-year-old nephew, Wyatt. As Wyatt and I sat on the couch watching Toy Story 3, I began.

Me--So Wyatt, what would you say is your favorite color?
Wyatt--"Purrple and green and bahloo(blue)and um, red and bwack(black) and browwnn Temmie(what he calls me)."
Me=What is your favorite movie?
Wyatt="Toy Strry(Toy Story)"
Me=*Wyatt got up an played with his Thomas and Friends trains* Wyatt who is your favorite train?
Wyatt="Thomas! and Percy!"
Me=What is it like sharing a room with your brother, Landon? And living here with Grandma Judy?
Wyatt="The stairs and swiding down(the stairs)!"

After that he ran up the stairs only to slide down them on his butt. Later that night we watched Toy Story 3(3x) leading to him going to bed. And to those of you who wonder about the concert my brother saw; my brother saw Black Veil Brides. I also wound up getting picked up at 1:20isa.m.
